spring sprang

color crept it's way around my yard. waves of yellows, purples, pinks, and creams crashed their way through winter's remains. the symphony of birds echos throughout the neighborhood while the sun begins to rise earlier and earlier. this means morning runs. and evening runs, as the sun ducks down low later and later. this means summer is so close. but I don't want to rush. I want to slowly creep through this rhode island spring.

I found out very rad news today - the kickstarter project I helped back has successfully been funded!

I like to roam around kickstarter and see if there are any interesting creative project I'd like to help be a teenie part of. since I have fallen ill with a case of the letterpress bug I discovered russell maret's totally awesome project to cast an entire new type and use it to press books. my fascination began with the crazy hard work that goes into designing a new typeface..

>this is something that appears on my life bucket list<

and then I felt giddy realizing that a typeface one has created has the potential to be cast into separate letters and used to press beautiful works of art. there was not a question in my mind that this project was something I had to be a part of, even if it was a measly $10 pledge. this pledge promises me -
A letterpress printed postcard specimen of the completed typeface. Mailed in an envelope to protect it.
and the peace of mind that creativity and hard work still kick butt all around the world.

visiting mystic, ct today, not a cloud in the sky and a forcasted 66 degrees. this calls for seafood & a dress!

A bientot!
